"You might feel discomfort knowing he used to be a brother to me, and I might take his side and deny Mom's justice," he continued.
"I understand," Aleah stopped in her tracks, holding Denny's arm in her hands, and pulled him gently to look at her. "I think I have known you enough to believe you had your reasons for doing whatever you have done, and even those that you will be doing in the future," she cupped Denny's left cheek with her right hand.
"I love you, honey," Denny replied with so much emotion. Then he pulled her closer for a sweet kiss. Denny's heart was beyond overwhelmed; Aleah is such a gem to treasure for more than a lifetime and maybe eternity if there is such.
"I never had the guts to say this before, and maybe until now, I am not confident to say this, but I would like to dare," Aleah looked at Denny intently in the eyes as she summoned her courage to say what was inside her heart, her foolish heart, in her thoughts.
