Chapter 50. A Spark

"Hello?" Carl answered right away. Since Denny Vero informed him about this matter, Carl had been keeping an eye on his phone as he waited for any messages or calls. He was not sure what he felt like when he heard the voice speak from the other line.

"Hi, it's me. Marie. I just arrived. I'm parked up front of the building. Where do we meet?" Marie replied. 

"Are you the one with the silver Honda Civic?" Carl asked as he noticed there was only that car arriving while he waited for Marie.

"Yes," Marie answered. She was speaking to a total stranger but considering she was on an errand for Mister Vero, she was able to put her doubts aside and calmly spoke to the man over the phone. "Uhmm, yes, I guess. I believe I am the only one with a silver-colored car in the parking area right now." Marie looked around to check where could the man be as he seemed to be looking in her direction at the moment.  "Where are you?" She asked when she couldn't figure the answer
