Chapter 59. Dragging Time
The manager was a bit startled by the customer's sudden coldness, but she had to bite the bullet and ask away.
"The take-out order you made in the morning was from the breakfast menu. It is already lunch, so we offer a different menu for the time being," Maureen Bates explained carefully.
"I am well aware of the time, but I would like to try the food I sent to my wife this morning if they taste as good as I expect them to be," Denny answered with indescribable emotions of pride, disdain, or worry. It showed the manager that Denny Vero was asking for the same orders and expecting none other than a positive answer.
"Oh, I see. Thank you for your trust. I will make sure to bring the same food you sent to Mrs. Vero for breakfast as you ordered for lunch. Please wait for a while, Doctor Vero," Maureen Bates smiled courteously before she slightly bowed her head and left with the head waiter still behind her.
