Chapter 22

Tristan's Point of View:

I hugged Cathalina because I was really scared. I'm afraid that she might be harmed and I can't bear it if she disappears too. I'm nervous about what could happen especially because I don't understand why they have to kill me and no matter where I go they are there, chasing me and planning to kill me.

Later, Cathalina put my face on her neck and I jumped when I heard the gunshot coming from her. I was separated from Cathalina when someone pulled me from Cathalina's embrace.

"Am I saying that Tristan will only be ruined when you are with him! You have done nothing but put Tristan in danger!” Amara in an angry voice. "I told you that a woman can't protect you because even she herself is always in danger!"
