Chapter 34. Arrangements

"So ... Athena, you're the traitor we've been looking for." Diesel growled.

"Oh, come now little brother, all's fair in love and war." Ranger said, then he looked at me. "Hello little mate!"

"DON'T YOU FUCKING TALK TO MY MATE!" Diesel roared. "AND PULL YOUR FUCKING PANTS UP! I'M GOING TO HAVE TO BURN THAT DAMD CHAIR NOW."

I noticed coals in the fireplace that were dying down. "Allow me." I waved my hand and the whole chair lit up in flames.

"WHAT THE HELL?" Ranger jumped back.

After the leather chair was charred, I waved my hand again and the flames disappeared.

"You're elemental too?" Ranger asked.

"And if you come near me, I will not hesitate to burn you alive!" I said and could feel Diesel's pride radiating.
