Chapter 42. Loss

An earth shaking growl ripped out of Lia's mouth and her teeth were bared. Wolves across the field turned their heads mid--fight looking for the source of the God like growl. Some even stopped dead in their tracks, unable to move, in awe of the mythical wolf standing before them.

Ramos seemed to lose his confidence the closer he got to me. Lia radiated power beyond any Alpha. Payton took advantage of this distracted moment to jump on Ramos and sink her teeth in the back of his neck. He growled in pain and managed to throw her black wolf off. Payton rolled back up and was ready to charge again when Max let out an angry growl, snarling and challenging Ramos. Ramos circled slowly taking in the size of Max's wolf, Milo, they were almost the same size. He reared up on his hind legs and lunged at Max.
