Chapter 30
“You’re my fiancé, my wife-to-be. My woman. Mine. What makes you think you can try to run off and I wouldn’t even know.” Grace observed his face, his sardonic smile, grey eyes and his strong jawline. Everything a woman would look into a man. But to her, he was anything but pleasing. He brought her hell, pain and so much suffering.
“You can have my body, but you can never have my soul, you can never have me,” Grace said slowly with tears dripping down her orbs. As she found herself confined within the cold, bleak walls of the room, a peculiar sensation of powerlessness began to envelop her, gradually tightening its grip on her chest and suffocating any ounce of hope she held onto. It was as if an invisible force was slowly consuming her very being, leaving her gasping for air and fighting against the overwhelming weight of despair.
