Chapter 7

“Shh….calm down, everything will be alright.” He soothed her, gently running her hand over her head, patting her, a ridge to his tone as he hushed her. Grace tightened her arms around him. Feeling him comforting her, she felt content.

“Take a deep breath and tell me what happened,” he asked again, by this time, her cries were muffled into silent sobs. Closing her eyes, the scene flashed through her eyes and her body shuddered before she clenched her fists.

“He….he tried to….” She couldn’t say the words, but she needed to. This was the limit of her tolerance. She wouldn’t sit in dark weeping, stead she would expose him to the world.

“He tried to….force himself on me,” she felt him tensing in her arms as she waited for his response with hesitation.

“Who are you talking about, Grace?” He asked and Grace held back her sobs. She felt him grabbing her arms as he pulled away gently, Grace immediately lowered her head. Shame and humiliation confining her.
