Chapter 168. The Memories I Didn’t Deserve

Carlos was meeting Amanda for the first time since they wrapped up the Asmodeus thing. So much had changed. A few months ago, he was hung up on Fiona leaving and busy with plans for the Asmodeus job. Clyde McCarthy had just won the election in New York City and Carlos had felt like the world was against him at some point. Then Amanda had called him out of the blue and told him she wanted to ruin Asmodeus.

Amanda had not particularly said anything about killing the man during the early stages of their plans but the more Carlos learnt about Asmodeus, the more he wanted to strangle the man to death with his bare hands. When he found out that Asmodeus made it a point to defile, by himself, every single child who had been dragged into his base, Carlos had asked Amanda if he could kill the man and she had said, ‘if you make a good show of it.’

That was only one of the reasons why Carlos was interested in the Asmodeus job, in killing the man, ruining him and doing so tastefully
