Chapter 171. Assassination Attempt
It happened so fast and it was pure instinct that made him able to react so quickly.
“Get down!” Amanda yelled. She had already kicked the table as a sort of shield against the onslaught of bullets. Carlos dove behind it and squatted shoulder to shoulder with the woman. They both brought out their guns and listened carefully as the wine wall behind them shattered to multiple shards of glass that fell in a glittering shower over them.
They both listened peeped and waited. His brain worked like a machine to analyze everything going on. The direction of the bullets, the fact that those directions had not changed the entire time and the frequency of the shots. The noise of the screaming and scurrying customers running to safety definitely threw off his hearing but he could tell by sound where he should shoot at.
