Chapter 260. Competition

A gun party was exactly what it was called. Lo had no idea that so many games could be played with guns and the fact they had enough ammunition to play games was insane to her. Before long she was deeply immersed in the games, in try to come first place all the time.

She saw the little things Petra did to ensure her safety and she could tell that the woman sometimes played with less ferocity so Lo could win but it was fine because Ingrid played like there was a prize to be won. At some point more people showed up at the range and the games became more exciting but also riskier and eventually it was busy enough that Lo could go unnoticed.

She sat back and watched Ingrid shoot at bottles being thrown in the air. As each one went exploded and caught the light Lo wondered how many bullets from Ingrid’s bullet had killed people. Yet here she was having this odd sort of fun. She wondered if they genuinely enjoyed it or if they were doing it for her.
