Chapter 86. Revenge

“You’ve been a bad girl.” Fiona could not keep the tears from streaming down her eyes when she saw him walk into the room. She tried to keep her head held high, but it was not possible.

“You wanted to get away, huh?” He continued. “You wanted to run off and leave your recompense behind. You forget that someone never had that as an option, thanks to you.”

She looked at the face in front of her, and it morphed into a gentler one with less bulk to his shoulders and no earrings glinting from his earlobes. The anger that rolled off the Leopard Seal in waves was translated in her head as what it truly was: pain.

She never had a sibling, but she could only imagine how it felt for this man to have seen the mutilated body of his brother. She never saw what the Torturer had done to the Twin, but even she felt the pain of losing someone she knew for a few hours. She could only imagine what the Leopard Seal was feeling.
