Chapter 93. Favorable Terms
They did not usually take kindly to waiting, especially if you have been and technically still were their captive. Somehow, she had gotten the incorrect impression that she was no longer a captive and was no longer in danger, that she would be let go in no time, but that was not accurate.
“I—” she cleared her throat to stop her stutter. “I’ll think about it.”
Just as she’d thought, she could not fall asleep. She thought and thought about what may have prompted him to offer her something like that. Was it because she’d tackled Sebastian for his sake, or was he finally convinced that she didn’t work for her father and now wanted to bring her closer to keep an eye on her? She wondered what that meant for her.
