Chapter 122. Rebound Life

Savannah’s POV

“YOU SAID WHAT?!”

Juju and Lexy yell in unison. They can’t contain themselves. They’re sitting around in my room after I get back from the family meeting. They knew something was up when dad suddenly called me in like that, so they’ve been waiting in my room to hear what’s going on, and when I finally told them, it’s like I just dropped a bomb, pull an Oppenheimer on them.

“I said yes,” I repeat myself, and I show them the ring that’s perched on my finger.

Juju and Lexy’s eyes are wider than saucers. They rush over to see the ring and their jaws drop to the floor.

“Savannah,” Juju glares at me. “You can’t be serious?”

“You just told us this wouldn’t happen?” Lexy follows, her mouth still forming an ‘o’.

“I know, but… it all happened so fast. And there were all these other people around so I can’t say no, can I?”

“Of course, you can!” Juju shouts.

“It’s a marriage! You can say no when you’re not ready!” Lexy
