Chapter 133. Divine Protection
Savannah’s POV
Morning light filters through the curtains, casting a gentle glow on the unfamiliar room. My head throbs with a dull ache and I can’t explain where it’s coming from. I slowly sit up on the bed and I try to recall the events of the previous night. I feel something strange happening with my body, like my throat feels very sore for some reason, but can’t remember much. Everything feels elusive, like I’m shrouded in the haze of a dream I can’t quite grasp. A sense of disorientation lingers, but I push it aside, focusing on the immediate surroundings.
To my side, I see a glass of water on the bedside table. I quickly reach for it to drink, but no matter how much water I’ve ingested, my throat still feels weirdly parched.
