As I open my eyes, the soft morning light bathes the room, casting a gentle glow on Savannah’s serene face as she sleeps beside me.

Goddamn.

A surge of gratitude quickly washes over me. Grateful for the stillness of the moment, and for the sense of completeness that envelopes us.

Damn. This is what I’ve been missing all this time.

For a moment, I stop to absorb the sight of my girl’s beautiful face. Her delicate features soften even more in the morning light. She looks so at peace, and I see my reflection in her. Whatever happened in the past seems distant already, overshadowed by the serenity of this moment. It’s a stark contrast to the tumultuous dreams and the battles we’ve faced, so I’m not taking this quiet morning for granted.

It’s funny how things change in just one night. Without her, I was so lost and purposeless. And now, I feel like a new man. Ready to take on anything.
