Chapter 87. Home Run

Savannah’s POV

A few glasses of espresso martinis later, we all get ready and pile into Logan’s car as we’re heading to the baseball stadium. As I make my way inside, the excitement builds with every step I take. We get a good seat and I’m sitting in between Harlan and Logan. Juju and Lexy are next to Logan and I’m glad they’re rather far from me because damn, they’re pretty loud fans.

“UVM! UVM!” Lexy chants with the crowd.

“Let’s go Greg! Let’s get it, baby!” Juju cheers and screams.

The atmosphere at the stadium is infectious. Even though I’m not a fan of the sport, I get why people like it so much. The match starts as our team is pitching and the other team is batting. Greg is a pitcher and he starts the game well, striking out several people. And something super cute that I notice him do, is that after every strike out, he’ll turn to where Juju is sitting and point to the sky.
