Chapter 21. United

“Don’t cry, baby girl!” Kate consoled Anita as she hugged her. She could understand how Anita was feeling at the moment.

After some minutes, Anita backed out from the hug as she looked at her friend from head to toe.

“Are you okay dear? Where on earth have you been? You have no idea how worried I have been because of you,” she said as she tried to force herself not to cry.

“It hasn’t been easy, but all is well. God is good,” Kate replied.

Anita then held Kate and took her to dinner.

“Sit here. I will make you something real quick,” Anita said and walked into the kitchen.

“You should eat something before we retire to bed. You look skinny and I am not happy about it,” she said as she led Kate to eat.
