Chapter 20. Painful Date
After some time, he realized that he had gone too far. Worried as to what to do to make things better, he turned and walked towards her.
“I am sorry dear. Let’s go out. I will make you happy today. Come on!” he said as he walked towards her.
“I am sorry, but I can’t. Not when I can’t find my friend. I want Kate. I miss her. Why can’t you hear me, Thomas? If you love me and want me happy, do what makes me happy,” she said and sat down on her chair, folding her arms.
Thomas wasn’t ready for her, so he dragged her by her arm and took her outside.
“Let go of me. I am not interested in any date. You can’t force me to go on a date with you,” she said repeatedly, but she was already in his car. Bending her head, tears poured out of her eyes.
Thomas drove around New York City with no intention of stopping till she was done crying.
