Chapter 6. The File

“What could this be about? No way!” she said, covering her mouth in shock. There were two different papers in the large file.

Anita took down the file and climbed her bed very well, taking out everything around her as she started going through the paper.

“Cases?”

Those papers contained cases that she could never had dreamt of holding. There were even cases of crimes that would occur in two days.

“How did he manage to know criminals’ secret?” she asked in whispers to no one in particular as his brows creased in worry.

Yes, she knew he was an officer of the law, but this was way too much information. How did he manage to do that? Does he have connections in the underworld?

Anita thought about so many things, but in conclusion, she refused to accept that he has a connection with criminals to be able to have such in a file.
