Emma’s POV

I turned to find a pretty lady by the door, a woman which I recognized immediately.

Natasha Stone, Brian Stone’s sister and Michael’s wife.

“Oh, I must have startled you, right? I am sorry, the door was opened, and I heard what you were saying,” she told me as she walked in and closed the door properly behind her.

What did she hear? Did she hear everything I said now? I thought, staring at the beautiful woman who stood by the doorway.

“Are you there, Dora?” she asked when I gave no response.

“Yes, sorry, my mind drifted somewhere else. What exactly did you hear me say?”

“About having no choice at all. I found it odd to hear the great Dora Baxter saying she had no choice. You are someone who doesn’t care about a thing and just goes for it, not caring if you hurt… Oh, my mouth is running again,” she said, using a hand to cover her mouth.
