“Wait till you see my daughter. You would certainly like her,” Dora’s father bragged as we all sat in the room waiting for Dora to come down stairs.

I stood by the window staring at my phone for any message from Nina.

Ever since we spoke in the restaurant today, she has been doing her best to avoid me. Each time I called her, she wouldn’t pick up and neither would she reply to my texts. Doesn’t she know that she is driving me mad without her answering at all?
