Chapter 69
Hazel’s POV
“W-what are you saying? Why would I be jealous? I was just—I just—”
I stopped as he chuckled, but this time, his laugh was genuine and heart-warming. My breathing stopped for a moment as he pulled me impossibly closer as I was almost on my toes. My head tilted back, and he leaned down on my face, breathing in the same air as me. Hot and warm. Something tingly touched my cheeks when I realized it was his hot breath.
“You just what, little mouse?”
His turquoise eyes held me in a hypnotic daze, forgetting about everything and everyone. Nothing mattered except the pounding of my heart and butterflies in my stomach. His muscled arms caged me and his roughness. I could see sparkly blue lining his pupils, reminding me of ripples forming in a pool of dazzling water, fascinating and captivating.
“I just don’t like seeing you with her.” Words left my mouth before I could process and his lips slowly twisted in a small mock
