Xavier's POV 

I told her whatever happened to me years ago and why I can't be with her. She pushed Adolphus to the edge by hugging Christopher and that lad was not any less. He dared to say that he wants to marry my mate? Like hell I will let that happen. Does he not know that she is off limits? She is mine and no one can eye what is mine. If he was not Belle's brother Adolphus would have killed him and I would not have even stopped him but we can't hurt Belle's family. 

Avaleene wishes to leave me but I can not let her leave that will make Adolphus go insane and I can not afford that to happen. I know I should not have choked her but she provoked me 

"stop using me as the reason for her to stay human. You want her equally to stay with us." Adolphus said and I only rolled my eyes at that mentally
