Clair was standing by the main door, her gaze fixed on Orion and Azalea as they walked in. Her expression soured as she shifted her attention to Azalea. "What is he doing here? I thought I told you I had someone I liked," she said stiffly.

Azalea shook her head slightly, signaling Clair to keep quiet. "I invited him over because he felt lonely."

"Hah! The so-called star is feeling lonely? Why doesn’t he have any friends or family? He has an old father he can go to!" Clair retorted bluntly.

Orion's eyes widened in shock. "Watch your tone!" he hissed.

"Why? What are you going to do? Take my property and send me to a mental asylum?" Clair shot back.

"Are you out of your mind? Why would I do that?" Orion stepped forward, his frustration evident.

Clair crossed her arms defiantly. "Well, why else would you be dying to marry me if not for the money I have?"
