Chapter 61. Near Miss

"When's the flight to Seattle scheduled for?" Val asked, trying as much as she could to be calm and not panic. She looked at herself in the small full-body dresser mirror that matched the regal interior design of the room.

Attorney Chris drew a part of her hair with a finger and smelt in the scent. He said with a knowing smirk. "9 pm. Why?"

"Nothing. I was wondering why you'd book a flight tonight for Seattle when I'm being blackmailed the same night" Val sighed as she wiped her hands one last time before dropping the small towel which she cleaned herself with. She picked up her earrings and started to put them on.
