Chapter 65. Looking Well Enough

Val was devastated and confused as to what to do. She needed to get to Seattle as soon as possible. Val's face contorted in disappointment. 

Val had planned to find a hotel room to rest in once she got to Seattle and then prepare herself to meet Bob at the court afterwards.

"We could take a rest and return before that time" Aidan stepped in to suggest.

However, Val couldn't stand staying in San Francisco any longer. The more she stayed, the more she felt uneasy. It was as though something bad would happen if she didn't leave instantly. 

In the end, Val decided to wait till the scheduled time for the flight to take off.

"I guess I'll wait here and see how things go. You should return Aidan" Val excused Aidan after having settled in the departure lounge. It was almost 1 am already and she was supposed to take the 2 am flight which was now delayed until 6 am.

"I'll stay and see to it that you leave safely ma'am. How am I to face Mr Richards
