Chapter 32. Salvation
Leo entered the room, his eyes scanning the surroundings until they landed on Miel and Izekeil sitting together, engaged in conversation. A sense of relief washed over him as he approached them, the weight of his worries momentarily lifted.
“Miel, I’m glad I found you,” Leo said, his voice tinged with a mix of concern and gratitude. “And Izekeil, it’s good to see you as well.”
Miel turned her gaze towards Leo, her expression softening with a genuine smile. “Leo, I’m relieved you’re here. We were just discussing a matter of great importance.”
Izekeil gestured for Leo to join them, a welcoming gesture that eased the tension in the air. “Please, have a seat,” he said, his voice warm and hospitable. “We were enjoying a cup of tea. Would you care to join us?”
Leo nodded appreciatively and settled into a chair, the scent of the aromatic tea mingling with the air. His eyes shifted between Miel and Izekeil, sensing an underlying intensity in their conversation.
