Leo’s eyes flickered with guilt as he met Edgar’s gaze. He swallowed hard, the weight of his actions settling heavily on his shoulders. In a hushed voice, he admitted, “Yes, Uncle Edgar, she... she drank my blood.”
A dark cloud seemed to descend upon Edgar’s features, his brows furrowing with dark anger. He took a step closer to Leo, his voice low and filled with a sense of urgency. “Leo, do you understand the gravity of what you’ve done?”
Leo’s shoulders slumped, his guilt intensifying as Edgar’s words sank in. “I... I didn’t know, Uncle. I just wanted to protect her. I thought if she had my blood, she would stop from attacking.”
“You know that in those urgent cases you can ask the servants to pull her down!” Edgar growled.
