Chapter 60. Revelations
Edgar’s eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the faint light in the room. As he glanced towards the foot of his bed, his breath caught in his throat. Standing there was Lottie, her presence both surprising and shocking.
“How did you get in here without me noticing?” Edgar exclaimed, his voice a mixture of surprise and disbelief.
Lottie smirked playfully, her eyes twinkling mischievously. “Now that I’m a vampire, remember? I have my ways.”
Edgar chuckled, a hint of relief washing over him. He had become accustomed to Lottie’s newfound abilities as a vampire, yet she still managed to surprise him from time to time.
Settling down on the edge of the bed, Lottie engaged in light-hearted conversation with her uncle. They exchanged stories, shared laughter, and allowed the familiarity of their bond to wash over them.
