Chapter 53

The evening arrived. Jo had bid farewell to Chloe to have her rest at home, arriving at his father’s home. It was starting to get dark; the darkness was concealing the sins that festered within its alleys and corners that he turned in while driving.

Jo, a shadow among shadows, stood tall and imposing when he stood out of the car, making his way up the stairs to meet his father. It had been mere days since he last crossed paths with his father, Man-Su, after a delightful gathering, even with his mother-in-law.
