Chapter 46. Half a Billion

“Can you give us some time? I need to discuss this with my wife,” Frank asked in a flat tone.

Still with pursed lips, Melanie glanced at Kara. She had difficulty guessing her daughter-in-law's intentions.

However, Paul had different thought. He immediately got up from his chair. His expression was still stern, but his eyes radiated a different light.

“This is indeed a big decision. Please think carefully. We will wait outside.”

A second later, he glanced at Melanie. With a faint gesture, he indicated to immediately leave the room.

Like it or not, Melanie moved. Before turning towards the door, she looked closely at Kara. There was a threat in her gaze. However, Kara responded with a warm smile.

"You don't agree with my decision?" Frank asked as soon as the door closed. His brows furrowed.

Kara stroked the wrinkled forehead. “From a business perspective, I never doubted your ideas. But, this concerns your mother.”

“You still remember ab
