Chapter 22. When Jester Came Out

Jester barely looked at the man and didn't speak as she waited for the other to return.

"This is it, partner."

"Thank you. Come, help me."

The two of them treated his wound.

"Tom, are you okay?" Divlen asked.

"Yes, Div, I'm sorry, I just can't stop myself from beating that person because they killed my parents."

Because of what Jester heard, her heart almost broke for the man, she knows what it feels like to lose a parent.

"Let it go, we will help you to solve your case," Jester interrupted seriously.

"Hmm… Tom, it's my cousin, Inspector Jester Navarro. She's Clyde's mother." She introduced her cousin.

Jester's eyes widened because of what her partner said about her son. That's why she didn't notice that she had put pressure on putting a plaster on his wound.

"Ouch!" he shouted.

"Oh— I'm sorry! Partner, you take care of this first. I'll just get our things." Jester made another excuse to avoid him again.
