The Lycan studied him for a long moment after his response. “What exactly of all he’s said is?” He asked Cole.
Cole looked at Aren, then looked back at the Lycan, worried that his rage for Erv would slip through if he spoke, and trying his best to contain it.
“You claim she is your Luna.” The Lycan spoke again.
“Yes.” Cole huffed a breath.
“And you stand by that claim.”
“I do.”
The Lycan turned slightly, addressing both without raising his voice. “This matter now hinges on bond legitimacy.”
His gaze returned to Cole. “You will return tomorrow. And you will bring your Luna with you.”
A subtle movement occurred near the edge of the chamber. A robed figure stepped forward from the shadow, silver-threaded sleeves and markings along the collar, eyes pale and unreadable.
The Lycan gestured faintly toward them. “The Royal Seer will verify the bond.”
