The cool breeze swept through the narrow alley next to the fire exit where David had asked Layla to meet him. As she approached, Layla could sense an air of tension surrounding David. He stood there, his face etched with frustration and anger.
“What the hell is going on, David?” Layla asked, her tone a mix of concern and confusion.
David, unable to contain his emotions, erupted. “My own son treats me like I’m nothing! I don’t deserve this, Layla.”
Layla, taken aback by David’s outburst, tried to console him. “Can’t you calm down, David?! Just tell me what happened, and don’t waste my time!”
