Chapter 30

“Are you nervous?” Mason asked as we’re waiting for the doctor to come. They took my blood earlier and then they led me to the doctor’s room. We’re going to do an ultrasound.

“Good morning, Mr and Mrs. King. My name is Doctor Mariah.” The doctor came.

“Good morning.” We both said at the same time.

“Should we do the ultrasound?” She asked and I nodded.

“When did you find out you're pregnant, Mrs.King?”

“Yesterday.” I said and Mason held my hand tightly as the doctor asked me to lift my shirt. She applied some gel and then she showed me the blood test result.

“It shows that you’re indeed pregnant, but it’s pretty early. Maybe around 3 weeks but let’s see.” With that she scanned me and Mason looked at the screen nervously.

“There.. That’s your little bean.” I turned to Mason who’s already looking at the screen intensely.

“Looks like the baby is healthy judging by the results and I’m suggesting you to have a routine check up on your b
