Noella’s POV

We have been sitting across each other, staring at each other with an indescribable expression without exchanging any word—not even a reaction.

I swallowed hard trying to push the backward as my stomach seemed to be so close to the table.

“What happened?” His eyes rolled down to my stomach and back at me.

Then it dawned on me that he already knew the current situation and must be here for this reason.

“What do you mean?” I rolled my eyes in disgust.

His appearance means nothing to me again, unlike the past when I got so giddy and happy whenever he spent time with me or looked at me.

“How come you are pregnant?” He made a comeback after a brief silence.

“It is what it is and I see no business you have with it.” I said boldly, having no fear of his dangerous fury gaze.

“Noella, last I remember you have no husband aside from me. If you are pregnant, it means the child belongs to me.” He said with a grin of mocker
