Chapter 31

Minka asked the bartender for another glass of tequila. She drank it in one gulp. This was her third shot of tequila. A guy winked at her, but she ignored him. She’d taken to drinking since Aiden proposed to Cassie. It was the only way she could block out the thoughts of the both of them together. It was the only way she could stay sane. The wedding was in three days.

The guy that winked at her came to where she sat. He ordered a drink.

“I’ve been staring at you since you walked in.”

“Is that supposed to interest me?” she said harshly. His eyes were as blue as Aiden’s, and she felt a tinge of pain.

“I couldn’t stop admiring your beauty from afar,” he said as though he hadn’t gotten the hint that she didn’t want to converse with him.
