His Mate - 6. Hearing Voices

Samantha's POV

The dungeons are cold, and I can feel the silence down through my bones. A drop of water keeps falling from a nearby pipe. It seems to be the only water source down here.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing down here?" I hear a voice. The voice sounded like a snake, mysterious and cold.

"W-Who are you?" I get up.

"Oh no, darling, that won't matter, won't matter at all." A female voice says this time.

"St-Stay away from me!" Then hands grab at my ankles and pull me down.

Whispering surrounds me and I feel as if I'm going crazy.

"Who's there?" I try to crawl, but hands keep me down.

"Sh, child! They'll hear you!" Snake shushes. Who's he? What's going on?

"L-Leave me alone!" I grab at where the voices come from. I end up touching a beard. A small scream falls flat from my mouth.

"I thought we told you to hush child." A cold harsh hand hits my face.
