Book 3: Chapter 1
“I tried to wake up early but yet, here you are, the very first,” a voice said as Asher was training with the punching bag. He turned and saw Anita in her training gear walking up to him and he gifted her a smile. “Let me guess, you have already had a run round the woods.”
Grinning he answered, “thrice.”
“No fair,” she groaned, “do you ever sleep?” she asked, walking over to the spear rack and picked up two, tossing one at him which he caught effortlessly. “Let’s have a spar, perhaps I stand a chance at winning now because you are obviously tired.”
Asher chuckled and twirled the spear in his hand before he beckoned her to come over which she did with force but he easily evaded her attack. She tried again and again but never succeeded in landing a blow at him and he wasn’t attacking, just defending. She turned to him, panting and wiping off the sweat on her face before attacking again.
