Chapter 169. What Makes You Think That I Still Care for Amoux?
Karen looked at Amoux, who was still asleep on the hospital bed. She sighed and stared at her daughter.
“Almera,” Kairo called her name. She groaned in frustration as she ensured that Kairo would notice how irritable she was that he was with her again. “Do you want me to take care of our daughter? You seem exhausted.” Kairo mumbled.
He regretted everything he told her, and he felt that Almera had finally cut him out of her life, which put him in deep pain silently. “Adam went to the Nightwalker.” He added.
“I will ask for your help once I need it. You shouldn’t go near me, or you might get bullied again because of me.” Almera’s tone was too cold, which made Kairo almost feel chilled. It’s been days, and since Almera went out to the hospital, she didn’t even dare to get back in their house anymore.
“I only want to help you. I don’t think it’s a big deal, Almera.” Kairo felt down even more. He felt unhappy that Almera made him think she didn’t like him anymore.
