“We’re getting my stuff, and then we’re getting the hell out of there,” I told Luca. It was my first time back at the mansion, and I had mixed feelings.
Christian’s words hurt me a lot, and I couldn’t stop thinking about them. He did not only called us dirty Alfonzo’s, but he also had the nerve to say Siena wasn’t one of us.
“I understand,” Luca spoke. For some reason, he was reticent, which was only adding to my nerves. “I thought he wouldn’t be home, but I think he is.” He sighed.
“I honestly don’t care. I have nothing to say to him.” I shrugged. Even Luca was surprised after hearing about Christian’s words and could not find it in his heart to defend him. “I’m on your side. Please don’t forget that.” He reminded me for the tenth time. “Great, let’s go—I’m ready.”
