Chapter 24

"Is that so, then talk to that hot friend of yours about our date?" He wiggled his brows.

And here goes his cuteness, she thought. Aurora would have thought about Emily but his bad lunch he was asking about Susan who was off-limits for a man like him.

"Sorry, but she won't agree, anyway let me go inside and check the war room."

He gave her a thumbs-up sign while Aurora walked inside Gabriel's office and again he was talking to someone over the phone. He looked angry at first but when he saw Aurora his features calmed a bit.

"Yes, Uncle, I know I don't have a dad but you are just like him to me even if people think otherwise. I will accept your decision…"

Aurora gulped and waited for him to end the call but he kept talking to his uncle for about fifteen minutes while she kept standing in his office, waiting for him to acknowledge her.

Aurora felt humiliated when he didn't even ask her to sit. Gabriel kept talking to his uncle ignoring Aurora.
