Lisa soon appeared at the door too, a surprised look on her face. But the look of shock soon passed and she seemed happy to see me.

“Good news, right?” My mom asked as she stepped aside for me to walk inside of the house. She kept her eyes on me, waiting for my response with bated breath.

I nodded as I walked in, a smile on my face. I heard the door close as I made my way over to the living room, making sure to get comfortable on the couch.

I exhaled deeply and waited for all of them to meet me where I was. They sat down and looked over at me, their eyes glued on me.

“So you’re just going to keep torturing us? Come on, say the good news!” My mom said, and we all laughed.

I couldn’t help but keep smiling. I soon told them about the engagement, before telling them that I was pregnant. They were not just happy, but ecstatic.
