Chapter 20

ADAM'S POV:

Just as I looked back up, suddenly I remembered the place. It was still a vivid dream but it smelled like home. As if I remembered something, or my legs had started moving on its own. I started running in the direction where the boy was running towards. I kept running for a while  until I saw it. A baby-ish giggle escaped my lips as I ran towards the house that was almost near. I opened the door and as if my breath stopped at that moment. I gulped hard as I slowly walked into the house. I could remember the walls of the tiny house to be clean and painted with pure white color. 

But when I stepped into the house, it's walls were covered with red splashes all over. Even the ceiling had that splashed stains all over. As if someone might have filled the tank with red paint and showered it all over the house. But it was not paint I was able to smell. It was something else. Something I was not expecting.
