ANIKA'S POV:

I was standing in the shower. But instead of washing my body, I was leaning with the wall and was crying my heart out. I did not know what I did, but I could clearly see that he was avoiding me. And as Alpha Thomas announced Adam as the next Alpha, I could not help but think where I was standing. The whole pack knew that Skylar was the future Luna. And of course, if Adam is the future Alpha, Skylar would be his mate. I wanted to ask him if he is planning to do that. It was very difficult but I knew as always I had to just accept my fate. Who cared if that fate would rip my heart out of my chest. But somewhere deep inside me, I knew he would never hurt me. He would fulfill his promises.
