Chapter 35. Don’t Leave Me

His jaw tightened. He stared at me seriously. I removed his hand from my cheek. I bravely met his angry expression.

“You told me you’re busy with your company. I’m asking you why but you don’t say it!” new tears flowed and I no longer bothered to wipe them. “Your company is going down, isn’t it? So you went to New York! If your company goes down where will you be picked up? What will your mom say?” I continued as he let me say everything.

“Do you think I can look at you struggling? Do you think I’ll be happy while you’re struggling? Damon we’re not for each other.”
