Chapter 76. What’s Left
Ezio emerged onto the ground floor, jaw tight, fury held just beneath the surface. Dario was waiting by the window, phone in one hand, gun in the other.
“Rico sold us out,” he said, voice low. “We checked his phone. Location sent out less than an hour ago.”
Ezio cursed under his breath, loading another magazine with a sharp click. “How many?”
“Four cars, maybe five. North side. They’re spreading out.”
“Then no one leaves alive.”
Dario nodded grimly. “Got it.”
Ezio moved with practiced calm through the corridor, handing out orders, adjusting positions. “Cover the windows. Wait for my signal. Take them fast and quiet. If they break through—drop them.”
The first shot cracked the air. A second answered it. Then the house roared alive with gunfire.
