Chapter 124

Unexpected Visit

After a few days, I’m all alone at home. It’s been days since I got out of the hospital after being there. Ares’ parents tried to make me live with them, but I didn’t want to because I was too embarrassed to be around them all the time. They gave up on their plan to make me stay with them in the end. On the other hand, they come to our house often to see me because they enjoy my company so much. In fact, they just left a little bit earlier.

Flashback

When someone suddenly knocked on the door, it jolted me out of the light sleep I was in. I looked at the clock and saw that it was still six in the morning. When I looked over and saw that Ares wasn’t lying next to me anymore, I thought he had already left. When I left the room, though, I saw him walking to the door and opening it.
