Ares has already finished his meal. His colleague, Kyle, went outside for a moment to answer calls. I am still here, sitting on the couch, awaiting the end of lunch. When the clock turned to 1:00 p.m. I immediately stood up and started cleaning everything at the table.
“You are going home now?” Ares asked while helping me.
“Yeah. Your lunchtime has already ended, so you need to work. I can’t bother you here since this is a workplace,” I answered.
“No, hon, it’s fine. I am not that busy today since our boss isn’t here, so you can stay and we can go home together.” He suggested, but I immediately refused.
I know that they can’t work properly if I stay here. I know Kyle has been a bit off since I came here and I know Ares noticed that too. Maybe he isn’t comfortable having me around. “It’s fine, hon. I will wait for you at home.”
